BAC 12 v Leominster 2

Written by Maz Wilson

It was a nervous start to the morning for BAC – first league match of the 2017 season back in the North Division. Warm up drills were carried out, tactics run through and before we knew it the whistle went.

‘We do like to be beside the Seaside’

This week we took a drive to sunny Weston-Super-Mare for the last friendly before the league starts.

With a livelier than usual warm up – the Backstreet Boys and Tupac spurring us all on, we made a good start to the game.  Keeping possession and spreading the ball around, we soon found ourselves 1-0 up, goal courtesy of Tinny.

This game not only marked the first hockey game of the winter season, but also back to hockey for Woolly Pulley and the first ‘real’ game for Ginger Em (nickname coming soon).

BAC were all on time, some a little early…..WOOLLER WAS EARLY….and ready to get going, the sun shone brightly on us as Sledge led the way for the warm up, spirits were high (as was I due to the amount of pain killers I’d taken) and we were ready to go!

Training Starts TONIGHT!!! – Tuesday 5th September

Come along – 7pm

See you all there!
