BAC v Bristol Uni2 1-5 (22/11/14)

Empty Plate

BAC’s opposition this week was Bristol Uni.

Two early goals from Bristol Uni caught BAC napping and they found themselves with a lot of work to do if they were going to get something from this game.  During the rest of the first half, BAC struggled to find their mojo but managed to settle, resisting any further pressure keeping the score at 0-2 at half time.  As well as ensuring that all the ‘clutter’ from the side-line was properly cleared, the first half also saw new recruit and super sub Lucy making her official start for BAC this week!

Old Bristolians 2 – BAC 3 (15/11/14)

Match Report Written By: Liz ‘Steely’ Gaze

Having just about dried off from the monsoon conditions of last week, this week BAC were faced with the challenge of finding the Old B’s pitch in the fog. A game in progress could be heard but only seen from about 10 meters away. Due to the weather, the games were running behind time so a short cross country run and a few taps of the ball later and we were off.

BAC 1 – Japers 2 (08/11/14)

Driving rain, rain and more rain were the weather conditions at Abbeywood this week as we took on Jaspers. A local derby, with plenty of history between the two sides so who knew what would be in store.

With the team talk having taken place in doors, we braved the conditions and out we went to warm up. The conditions were awful, however both teams paid their respects to the fallen and a minute silence was held at the start of the match. (BAC proudly sporting their poppies for kits poppies)

BAC started well with early pressure. A free hit was given just outside the Jaspers D. A quick square pass from Sledger to Bish, who then fired the ball in to Tinny who finished the move with the ball in the back of the goal. A great start for BAC, 1-0.
