Bristol Ladies 2 v BAC2 2 (26/09/15)

A sunny game back on BAC’s old pitch at Orchard school. We gathered at 8:30am (ish!) for the first league game of this season. From the available 11 we managed to pick a team of 11 to face Bristol.  All the way from New Zealand playing ‘right inner’ Jane joined the team.  There was some incredible marking and positioning from the team this week. All this hard work led to a fantastic goal from a short corner by Leanne which meant at half time we were neck and neck at 1-1.

BAC 7 – Leominster 1 (26/09/15)

So the first league match of the 2015/2016 season was upon us and BAC welcomed Leominster to sunny Bristol.

We also welcomed Ceri to the game!!

BAC started well but  Leominster managed to break through and force a short corner, the defence had it under control or so we thought but Dave managed to get an unlucky touch to the ball which wrong footed Becky and we found ourselves 1-0 down early on. So as BAC always do we rolled our sleeves up and got back in to the game we some great passing, Sledger and Bish we doing great in the middle and Sledger broke free and set up Tinny who shot and scored  1-1. this was more like it and we then thought we had got another but Emma had a goal disallowed. however we did then get another as Sledger picked up the ball and kept running, with the forwards taking the defence away it opened up and Sledger went into the D shot and scored 2-1.

BAC attend the annual Beer Festival

BAC Ladies did themselves proud at the annual Stapleton Cricket Club beer festival.

This year the fancy dress theme was cricketers and much fun was had applying hockey techniques to the game of cricket whilst downing a pint or two!

We don’t think there are going to be any England call ups from this bunch!

BAC2 v Knowle1 2-1 (12/09/15)

A beautiful day for the first friendly of the season.

The team got a bit worried when Soph asked to put balls on the 15!!! (We knew there were new rules but no-one had heard about this one!)
