Westberries2 4 – BAC 3

Remember, remember the 4th November, hockey sticks, fireworks and bruises!
This week saw us playing on a lovely autumnal afternoon with quite a chill in the air, meaning the warm up included an extra jog via the loos!
BAC 1 Newent2 3

With Brian on the way, BAC tipped up nice and early to Abbeywood (with the except of the Lisas) and braced themselves for the incoming storm.
Warm up and team talks duly completed, the focussed preparations seemed to be paying off. BAC exerted early pressure and, after a couple of swift attacks, BAC took the lead. Liz took a free hit near the 25, passed it on to Bish, who slipped the ball through to Tinny in the D. Tinny took a touch and found the back of the net to make it 1-0 to BAC.
North Wilts 2 – BAC1 4

This week took us to Swindon for a early start against North Wilts. After a good warm up and Tinny chatting up the young umpire from Malaysia. BAC got off to a great start with great play attacking right and left.
BAC 0 – Cirencester 7

For the benefit of Bish…….…Once upon a time there was a ladies hockey team called BAC and they played in red. On a drizzly morning at Abbeywood our opponents this week were Cirencester.
We were feeling confident on the back of our performances from the previous two weeks but we knew it was going to be a tough encounter.
