Match Report ~ BAC 1 v Bretforton 4

Warm up

It was a sunny day for our match against top of the league Bretforton, especially ordered no less.  BAC started well today with a foray into the Bret D and in no time at all won a short corner.  This was well defended by Bret who were soon attacking the BAC goal.  New in goal this week was Kay Garston  who was filling the space nicely (not that she was fat or anything, just taller than our average goalie!). On with the match….

Match Report ~ BAC2 6 vs Lydney 1

The day started quietly for BAC2 and the players assembled slowly on the pitch.  The Lydney players huddled inside the sports centre which stank of drains.  The BAC2 players were looking calm and relaxed, not a hangover between them, for that reason alone it was going to be an odd day.

The start of the game was delayed by a couple of minutes whilst one of the umpires suffered a pen emergency, his nibs were all dry.

Match Report ~ Jaspers 4 vs BAC 0 26/01/13

Katie

BAC started the game well, using patient play and triangles to put the Jaspers goal under pressure for the first 10 minutes of the game. However, the tides quickly turned and the BAC defence was subjected to wave upon wave of Jaspers attacks.

Match Report ~ BAC2 3 v Westberries3 1

The players gathered, warmed up, had a chat, talked tactics and ran onto the pitch….I assume, as I wasn’t there.  Having turned up 5 minutes after the start of the match the BAC2 ladies looked on good form and were dominating the match.

2 Sticks Sophie was pacing the sidelines and looked focused, really focused.  Something was on 2 Sticks mind, this match was more than just another league game, there was a greater significance to this meeting.
