First game of the summer league saw the rain come and the dark clouds thicken!! Clearly somebody forgot to inform the weather it’s SUMMER league!

Anyway, the most important thing to mention about this game was that our very own bionic woman and Caberet singer Bish, was embarking on her first game back, and boy was she back, better than ever before!

Everyone played their hockey socks of for this game, including Old B’s who came at us at every opportunity, but with the dream team of Bish and Sledger back together and Leanne, Hammy & Cheryl owning the defence things didn’t always go the way Old B’s wanted and when they did unfortunately score, we answered them with a goal of our very own!

Opening the scoring for BAC was Tinny, who with some great link up play with Kingers and Bish took the ball in the D and smacked it home with a satisfying bang! Next up for BAC was Sally who struck the ball in from a cracking cross ball from our 10k star Ned. Next up was El Capitano Kingers, who ran the line with the ball took it smoothly into the D and smashed it in to the backboard!! Out fourth and final goal came from Tinny who along with her dodgy ankle avoided the jabbing sticks of the defenders in the D and calmly reversed stick flicked it in!

4-4 the final score.

There would have been many more goals but the Old B’s keeper decided to have the game of her life and was saving goals with the tips of her gloves and I think at one point with her mind!!

Bionic Bish also almost had a chance of a goal, but the keeper used some kind if magic (came flying at Bish feet first) and stopped her chance!

Cheryl visited the dark side a few times and found herself in the oppositions D!

Everyone worked hard and kept fighting, a true and shining example of BAC spirit!
