Nailsea v BAC2 10-4 (22/02/14)

The day started bright and sunny for a change and both BAC teams where off to Clevedon for matches against Nailsea and Clevedon. The teams were helping each other out today as it was a friendly weekend. The seconds were on first and held Nailsea until the first short corner and after a bit of a goalmouth scramble it was 1-0 to the opposition.  Despite some solid defending from ‘bad back’ Leanne another goal was scored from a short corner. BAC were determined to get back in the game and Katie W-P broke forward and with some nifty passing between Lor and Hammy received the ball back and found the back of the net! BAC were on a roll now with Hammy scoring the equaliser before the spectators could get their breath back. Attacking again BAC narrowly missed a short which just goes wide after a shot from Tapper. Nailsea are back in the game and another goal mouth scramble made it 3-2 to them, they pile on the pressure and nab another just before half time to make it 4-2.

Nailsea start the second half strongly and soon its 5-2, Griff had to leave the pitch injured, but BAC kept going. They won a couple of short corners and got a goal back, 5-3. Tthe second half ends in a haze of goals and injuries, Fran took a bash to the knee, Sophie is off with a broken toe, goals go in all over the place and we think it finished 10-4!

Man of the match went to Katie Li with Goalie Kay in second place.
