BAC2 vs Knowle 05/06/13 Won 4-1

Sunny scenes in Keynsham for the match against the always lovely side from Knowle.  After canvassing those who were there, it would appear that the Men In Black wiped everyones memory as to the details of the match, so apologies for this brief report.

The game started, there was some running around and quite a bit of end to end play.  Someone scored a goal for BAC2 which was followed by another and then it was half time.

Anticipating Knowle coming out strong for the second half, BAC2 played with even more determination straight from the whistle.  In went goal 3 for BAC2 by “someone” and Knowle were starting to look beaten with most of the action now focused in their D.

What followed with 5 minutes to go is the only detail everyone remembers clearly.  The ball traveled into the Knowle D where several players took a shot at goal only to be repelled by the keeper and her team of strong defenders.  After an attempted clearance which went straight to Ceri, there was the briefest of pauses where Ceri looked up and assessed the position of all the players, then her head went down, she took a long low swipe of the ball and in to the back of the goal it went.  There was cheering, a group hug and generally lots of smiling.

It was in the final 2 minutes of the game when BAC2 started to tire that Knowle pinched a well deserved consolation goal.

The full time result was BAC2 4 – Knowle 1.  The team were justifiably pleased with the result and Ceri celebrated with an electronic cigarette.
