Summer League – The story so far

It was starting to become impossible to have a job and write the match reports given that we have had so many games, so I have decided to give the weekly results for the games gone by, I will try to write a brief weekly report for the games as the summer league rolls on.

Some great results though and some brilliant support from the whole club to make it possible to have so many matches.

This week the results were

BAC2 v Redland @ Abbeywood –  Won 3-1

BAC2 v Jaspers @ Wellsway – Drew 0-0

An awesome week for BAC this week, the recurring theme being winning!

BAC v Firebrands 2 @ Coombe Dingle – Won – 4-3

Bristol v BAC2 @ Abbeywood – Won – 4-0

BAC v Jaspers @ Coombe Dingle – WON – 1-0

BAC2 v Knowle1 @ Wellsway – Won 8-2

Redland v BAC @ Coombe Dingle – Won 0-3

Westberries2 v BAC @ Coombe Dingle – Lost 4-3

Winscombe 3 – BAC 5

The sun was shining the weather was sweEEEEeeeet…………made us want to move, our hockey feet!!

So with sun cream applied, Kat’s new astro’s admired and everyone nicely warmed (chuffing boiled) up, the whistle blew!!

Thing is BAC didn’t hear this we were busy enjoying the sunshine and generally chilling out, so Winscombe’s first goal came as quite the surprise to each and every one of us!!

BAC 4 – Old Bristolians 4

First game of the summer league saw the rain come and the dark clouds thicken!! Clearly somebody forgot to inform the weather it’s SUMMER league!

Anyway, the most important thing to mention about this game was that our very own bionic woman and Caberet singer Bish, was embarking on her first game back, and boy was she back, better than ever before!

BAC 3 – Bristol Univesity2 5

The last game of the season saw Bristol University visit an ever depleting BAC. In the crowd today, Lisa’s Mum and her friend Bev, the ever supportive Coxy and Bish still restricted to the side-lines. On the pitch, anyone who would play and who wasn’t too injured! A big thank you to Ali for coming out of retirement and those who stepped up from the seconds to enable us to put a team out.
